Dear Legacy – Cadence families,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The State of Nevada uses the Nevada School Performance Framework (NSPF), a five-star classification system for public schools that assesses student learning progress, school quality, and instructional practices and is helpful to parents in informing school selection. Star ratings are based on several factors, including academic proficiency and growth on state assessments, English language proficiency, chronic absenteeism, and student engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week, Legacy Traditional School \u2013 Cadence Elementary received 2 Stars in this year\u2019s NSPF report and the Cadence Middle School received 3 Stars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are committed to increasing the academic performance of our Cadence Elementary and Middle School. Together, we have worked hard to create an innovative academic plan with a focus on individualized student needs based off of academic data. An increased focus on small group instruction, intervention, after school tutoring and increased expectation in daily instruction are all part of the action plan to move our school forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are confident that our plan to support and increase the school\u2019s academic achievement and student engagement is working. Our educational team continues to improve and expand its academic support strategies designed to increase every student’s academic growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, as parents, you can help your child succeed at Legacy Traditional School by minimizing their absences and staying in regular communication with his or her teacher(s). If there are subjects or homework that your child is struggling with, please reach out to their teacher. Your child\u2019s teacher(s) will be able to share strategies that you can leverage at home, or recommend your child receive additional tutoring support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
