Nevada Re-Enrollment FAQs

Does Legacy – Nevada have an enrollment Lottery?

Legacy conducts an enrollment lottery If the number of applications received during an enrollment window exceeds the number of spaces available by grade. The lottery will be conducted immediately after the close of the enrollment window.

How is enrollment conducted?

Names are selected by grade, with spots offered in order of names selected. When the capacity for each grade level is reached, the remaining applications will be assigned a position on the  waiting list. Only applications completed before the deadline will participate. Applications submitted after offers are extended are granted seats or added to the waitlist in order of the date and time of application.

If my child is enrolled, will his/her siblings also be able to attend that school?

Legacy – Nevada offers application priority status for siblings of students currently enrolled at a Legacy – Nevada school. A student is considered fully enrolled when an offer of enrollment is accepted, completed and submitted with all required registration paperwork. Once a student is enrolled at Legacy, any sibling on a waitlist will be moved up on the waitlist along with other applications with priority status. Sibling priority does NOT guarantee enrollment, but does significantly improve the likelihood of enrollment.

How am I notified of my child’s enrollment offer?

Families with an offer from a Legacy – Nevada campus will receive a notification of their status via the preferred method of communication indicated on their application (email and/or text). All families will also be able to see their offer status by logging into Infinite Campus after the Lottery has finished. An initial round of offers will be sent on offer day, but offers will continue being sent if seats become available. Families will also receive a follow-up call from their campus within a few days of receiving an offer.

How do I accept my offer?

In your notification email/text, you will be linked to your Infinite Campus account to accept or decline your offer. After you accept your offer, your new school will contact you for the following required supporting documentation for enrollment:

  • Proof of Address – Must be in guardian’s name and dated within 6 months
  • Birth Certificate
  • Social Security Card
  • Immunization Records
What if I can’t log in?

If you are having issues accessing Infinite Campus, please contact your campus registrar?

If my child is accepted, will he/she have to apply each year?

No, students who are accepted and complete the registration process will be enrolled in the school and be able to remain there in future years up until graduation. Parents must let the school know that they plan to return each year during a re-enrollment process that happens outside of the new enrollment process

If my child is not offered a seat and is placed on the waitlist, what are the chances that they will be accepted later?

If a student is not admitted immediately, they are automatically placed on the waitlist. Throughout the spring and summer months, spots may become available.

Legacy Traditional Schools – Nevada enrollment is offered to the next student on the waitlist as soon as space becomes available. For example, if a parent declines an enrollment offer, the next student on the waitlist will receive an offer until the position is filled.

If my child does not get an offer during the current school year, do I have to apply again for the next school year?

Yes. If your child has not been admitted into a Legacy – Nevada school by the end of current school year, you must submit a new application for upcoming school year.

If my child is accepted at the Lottery, can I transfer to another Legacy – Nevada school?

You must complete an application in Infinite Campus indicating your new school preference for the following school year. Please contact your current campus if you are interested in completing a transfer.

Does Legacy – Nevada offer pre-Kindergarten?

No. Legacy – Nevada does not offer pre-Kindergarten.

Why did my waitlist number change?

Legacy’s waitlist is ordered based on application type and any applicable priority status (e.g., sibling or transfer priority). When a seat becomes available it is offered to the first applicant on the waitlist. Applicants may move up or down the waitlist depending on application priority and/or application type.

Will accepting a seat at one campus affect my status on any other waitlist?

No. Waitlists are run independently so your acceptance will not affect your status at a Legacy campus. Please inform us if you have decided on another school so we can offer your seat to the next child on the waitlist.

What if I have more than one student in the school?

All of your students can be included on the same Intent to Return form. If you have more children than space on the form allows, please complete additional forms and return them together to your current campus.
